Charles "C-Kaos" Young

Born in Greenville, MS on 10/18/1977.
"I'm the CEO of Hit-em Up Entertainment, a producer and ghostwriter. When I'm not busy with the label and I have free time I like to spend quality time with my son and daughter because the truly inspire me. I live eat and shit music - my rap style is definitely unique energetic yet laid back street poetry. I plan to be a self made millionaire either the right or wrong way. I can't lie... Master P motivated me when I saw how he started his label being so successful. I made my mind up to put Hit-em Up Entertainment on the map, regardless of what obstacles that my surface. I caught my first case when I was eighteen an assault charge. At that moment I figured either quit doing dirt or get better, needless to say the game has it's ups and downs. At the age of at ten during a family reunion, I nearly drowned. For nearly 5 minutes I was under water before floating to the top. The doctor said if I did survive, I'd be brain damaged or worse. Everybody prayed for me and God spared me my life. I know I'm here for a reason.

My first true passion was football. I played football and ran track through Jr high and High school. Eventually I was good enough to get a scholarship to a private school in McKenzie, Tennessee. After 2 years, I received a career ending back injury. That's when I really started getting deep in my poetry. When I came back to Memphis I found out my girlfriend was pregnant. So here I am 20 years old, no job, no home (because my folks were moving out of state) and no money.

When asked to move, but my attitude was "fuck that I got to step up to the plate be the man I am and take care mine." I stayed in Memphis and made it work, I got a job and I was hustling, and I did what I had to do. My partner and I got an apartment together. I only had a part time job paying 150 dollars a week (But I flipped it. Ha Ha Ha). That's when I started focusing on my music. I had enough to eat and handle my business, but not enough to pay for studio time so I came up with a plan... Instead of selling dope and getting getting locked up, I'll go back to school find a better job and then start my own label. Exactly what I did, graduating in 2000 from technical college with 2 degrees in electronics and in music business, launching Hit'em Up Records later that same year. It hasn't been an easy journey, but anything worth having requires sacrifice."
